We all know the high tops are the reason people like Pierre Hardy, but their boots aren’t to be sniffed at either. These boots are the best out of their collection, with both suede and calf leather versions. The stacked crepe sole gives a more substantial look – they also add a few inches if you’re shorter than average.

Take a look at a few colourways and some comfy looking lining after the leap.

Kolor Striped Cardigan

kolor cardigan Kolor Striped Cardigan

One of the (few) positives about the current economic climate is that it encourages people to use their brains whilst shopping. This is especially true when it comes to sale shopping. Previously seen as an excuse to buy thing you didn’t really want, sales are now (rightfully) seen as as the time to get the pieces you’ve had your eye on all season but didn’t have enough cash to get hold of.

Take this Kolor cardigan, for instance. At £225, it can’t be called cheap, but you’ll still be making a saving of £105 on a truly amazing piece. (Browns)

Men.Style | Footwear Watch

jil sander bucks Men.Style | Footwear Watch

We always feel like our brains get a little frazzled from too much information when the shows start, so it’s nice to see Men.Style breaking it down into manageable chunks of info. They started a little feature called ‘footwear watch’, where they, unsurprisingly, take a look at the footwear appearing on the catwalks.

Fans of bucks will glad to know that they’re way ahead of the fashion curve, as they made an appearance in Jil Sander’s SS10 collection. Burberry’s collection featured the Chelsea boot, a natural fit given the amount of time Christopher Bailey’s been spending in the company of bands lately.

Take a look at the Burberry boots after the jump and read the full Men.Style article here.

Weekends are for cycling, so why not suit up in some more excellent Rapha gear. They drop three new shirts as part of their “Legend T-Shirt” line. “Inspired by the iconic riders of the 1980s and 1990s, Rapha’s Legend T-shirts come in three eye-catching prints. Designed both for urban riding and wearing off the bike, the montage-style graphics celebrate some of the modern heroes of the sport and the colours they carried to their numerous victories.”

The Adam Kimmel Autumn/Winter 2009 Footwear has arrived in stores. No big experiments from the New York designer, but two very solid shoes for the colder season. He presents brown suede boots, with the silhouette being similar to the 6 inch Timberland boot. Furthermore he presents brown suede shoes with a wing top inspiration. Just like the rest of his collection, the footwear is casual, easy to wear, yet very high in quality.

The Adam Kimmel Autumn/Winter 2009 Footwear is now available at colette.

Detailed images follow after the jump.

Tom’s Shirting Grey Slip-on Shoes

Loving this slip-on from Tom’s. It’s a casual rocker with a twist which plays well against most outfits and will compete heavily with my Nike Air Wovens as the weirdest looking shoes I own. I am indeed a fan of them. Well priced at $48 from Need Supply Co.

Red Wing Iron Ranger Boots For J.Crew

red wing iron ranger for jcrew boots Red Wing Iron Ranger Boots For J.Crew

Just last week we visited the Red Wing Shoe factory (more on that soon) and today we can present you their latest exclusive style for J.Crew.The retailer found the Iron Ranger in a Red Wing ad from 1953 and asked the brand to bring it back for them. Once you have seen the premises in Red Wing and the production process, you do start appreciating and understanding the immense quality of the boot from Minnesota.

Just like with all J.Crew boots by Red Wing, these Iron Rangers also have a bit of a worn out look on their brown suede upper. In our opinion the best Red Wing so far for J.Crew, a true classic that still perfectly makes it into todays wardrobe. These are now available online here.

01. 25e Prix d’excellence en architecture

“L’Ordre des architectes du Québec has announced the winners of their 25th annual Prix d’excellence en architecture. A mix of commercial, institutional and residential architecture, a few projects got our attention. The Maison Bernier-Thibault above won the Prix Marcel-Parizeau for a project that doesn’t exceed $150,000…” (mocoloco)

02. U.S. Air Force hopes a hot car will attract recruitees (above)

“When we first heard about the Army using military-style videogames as a recruiting tool, we felt the notion of wooing American youth into joining an operation where you’re meant to kill insurgents, and equating that with something you do on an X-Box, was kind of obscene.” (core77)

03. WK’s Motion Portraits

“WK’s new portrait series, entitled 12 Angry Men (referencing the classic film), portrays the faces of twelve men. It’s the first time WK has focused exclusively on faces rather than on the entire body in motion. What’s cool about the new work is that it’s made solely with with a sponge and large brush with nothing painted over during the process.” (woostercollective)

04. Ghostly Poster Progress

“I’ve been working on a new poster over the past week and it’s very near completion. It’s a limited edition for the August Ghostly 10 Year show Chicago installment. If you follow me on Twitter you’ve probably seen a sneak preview of the poster (the image above is a cropped snippet). The one up on the Ghostly site is a very early draft though, we just needed to get something up as a placeholder while I worked out the final version.” (iso50)
