Remember back in January when we were exclaiming our love for the Iron Heart 21oz denim? How I was able to save money on my heating bill in the winter due to their incredibly thick yet soft finish?

It would seem that Iron Heart is trying to trump themselves in terms of making the heaviest denim possible – with some changes not only in weight but in finish. For their 5th anniversary, Iron Heart is issuing a whopping 23oz 634SR denim jean in an unsanforized finish. This translates into what may be the heaviest and most rigid denim on the planet. “For those that always wanted a pair of Iron Heart jeans and wanted them to fade a bit quicker and have a more intense contrasty fade, this is the jean you’ve been waiting for.

These are limited to 400 pairs worldwide.” Have a conversation with your friends down below before bringing the 634SR into their world. You have been warned. Get them at Self Edge.

hederus 2009 000 Hederus Summer 2009

You remember Sweden’s Julia Hederus? She’s the designer behind those fascinating K-SWISS sneakers we previewed a while back. Well Hederus returns with some new fashions for the men which continue to take shape around her “jigsaw” themes. “Designed in Sweden, the clothes are luxury sportswear and are created for men who appreciate an unconventional cut and shape. Design direction follows previous seasons where rectangles  are still present with a slight distortion.” Available now at Oki-ni.

Coolboom provides some excellent shots of the newly designed 3.1 Phillip Lim Boutique & Showroom by PARA Project & Giancarlo Valle in Los Angeles. “Introducing a thick curving wall in the existing building, the large space unfolds into four smaller niches. A single, continuous light-diffusing membrane floats above the space adding to the intimate atmosphere while giving the space a sense of lightness.” It’s nice to know we may be seeing our way out of a recession.

Opening Ceremony Autumn/Winter 2009 Footwear

opening ceremony footwear autumn 2009 01 Opening Ceremony Autumn/Winter 2009 Footwear

Opening Ceremony have been making shoes that veer on just the right side of fashion forward for years now and this AW09 collection pushes the boundaries in all the right ways. There’s suede in colours like pink and red, burgundy buckled boots (try saying that quickly) and even wool. Yes, wool. It’s like someone cut up an old carpet and decided to put it onto a shoe – but in a good way. It might not stand up well to the rain, but neither does suede and anyway, that’s what boots are for.

And, luckily enough, this collection has an enviable array of boots. Not quite an armada, but a formidable collection nonetheless. The thick soled Bison boots make a return and some new additions include the deerskin boot with the heathered grey sock lining and the aforementioned M11 burgundy buckled boots. There’s also a pair of tan suede high boots with a zip covering the laces, but they’re more of an acquired taste.

Take a look at the collection after the leap.

Daniele Alessandrini Autumn/Winter 2009 Accessories

daniele alessandrini autumn 2009 01 Daniele Alessandrini Autumn/Winter 2009 Accessories

Here’s the last of a small batch of AW09 accessories from Daniele Alessandrini. Everyone loves a classic shoe these days and as the well of classic shoe styles to rip from run dry, it’s time to switch up the colours. That’s what Alessandrini did with these tassel loafers, applying the same shade of green used on the chukkas we featured yesterday. The outcome is pretty dope, if we say so ourselves. It might step outside the strict boundaries some have set for themselves, but open-minded folks should appreciate the newness pieces like this bring.

Check after the leap for some woven belts.

Acne Bomber Sweatshirt

acne sweatshirt bomber 01 Acne Bomber Sweatshirt

The biggest gripe people have about sale season is that nothing’s available in their size. The general rule of stores is that if it’s a boutique then small and medium are the first sizes to go, larges after that and then the extra large. That’s certainly the case with this Acne bomber, which is only available in XL.

If that’s your size then you can’t wrong, if it’s not then you can get over a missed sale buy by looking at detailed shots after the jump. (Oki-Ni)
