Aquascutum’s future looks shaky as their entire workforce of over 300 was put into consultation. This follows chief executive Kim Winser’s depature from the company a few weeks ago after years of consecutive losses. Eyewear maker, Mykita, has opened doors on their new shop in the heart of Vienna. Stocking a wide array of prescription frames and sunglasses the shop complements the products with a very clean layout. “The basic idea behind the modestly sized (18m2) store is MYKITA’s original back-lit wall system, which can be integrated with ease into any given space. The display wall running down the left-hand side of the store comprises an assembly of countless steel rods normally used to support heavy-duty shelving.”

Three excellent colorways from Edifice for their suede upper trainers or shoes depending on how you see it. Truth be told, the rubber “athletic” sole is what sells them as a trainer, but the upper is so well finished that you may be able to sneak them in with your blazer. Scuff up the white sole if you think it’s too white for your tastes. Three fine options mixing a classic look with athletic comfort. (zozo)
