“Prostitution Institution” is the name of the new Autumn/Winter collection from Trimäpee. Coute que Coute turned us onto this line Australian line. “Trimäpee is an Australian based fashion label with designs that define eclectic artistic thinking. Unique collections with conceptual themes make each Trimäpee garment a product of character expression, rather than the attempt of mimicking mainstream fashion.”

Hollister Hovey has quick brief on Hamilton, “America’s Oldest Shirt Makers” and their wide customer base. “Hamilton customers come in all forms, they said.  Simon Doonan from Barneys wears nothing else. Big Texas ranchers often order theirs Western-style. New Yorkers even order black. ‘In Connecticut, it’s all blue and white,’ David said. As expected, the Southerners are more colorful.”

Root

root front Root

A uniquely American spirit, Root has a history dating back to the 1700s. “Root Tea” was an herbal remedy passed to English settlers by the Native Americans. During the temperance movement the alcohol was removed from “Root Tea,” and Root Beer was born. Until this year, the original formula has been dormant, only now resurrected by Art in the Age (and the folks behind Sailor Jerry Rum and Hendricks Gin). They’ve recreated “Root Tea,” as a certified organic 80 proof liquor. Enjoy alone or as a mixed drink.

bmw roadsters 75 Years of BMW Roadsters

Autoblog has a nice write-up on the 75 year legacy of BMW’s Roadster line. “We generally think of BMW as the maker of some of the world’s best sports sedans, but its put out some impressive roadsters over the years. Seventy-five years to be exact. The Bavarian auto manufacturer has been producing two-door open-seaters for three quarters of a century now, starting with 315/1 Sports model that was unveiled at the 1934 Berlin Motor Show followed by the more powerful 319/1.”

whyred autumn 2009 accessories 01 Whyred Autumn/Winter 2009 Accessories

We previewed Whyred’s AW09 collection at BBB back in January and now we can give you an up close look at their accessories range. The collection has a very modern dandy feel to it with slightly pointed canvas and leather shoes, cufflinks, pocket squares, brooches and bow ties. The ties are also pretty wide, which will be a shock to those who’ve gotten accustomed to the thinner tie.

Take a look at the rest of the collection after the jump and check back tommorow for Whyred’s AW09 mainline collection.

Paul Smith Jeans Stone Jacket

paul smith jeans stone jacket 01 Paul Smith Jeans Stone Jacket

Rules, rules, rules. Menswear is all about the rules. While we do accept that certain rules were instilled for good reason, it’s the endless devotion to said rules that leaves so many people scared to attempt anything bordering on daring. Take this Paul Smith jacket for instance. The rules (that word again) say that we shouldn’t have anymore than two buttons on a suit jacket if you don’t want to look like a granddad. But we say forget (most of) the rules and just wear what looks good – and this jacket looks great. Get it from Coggles.

Check after the jump for detailed shots.
