South Willard (pictured on the right side above) have got a pretty amazing sale on right now. There hasn’t been a shortage of oxfords this season – but we feel this is the best one out now. The only knock we have against it is that the cloth is a little too heavy for summer, but even that’s not really a knock – just put it in your closet until the suns starts hiding again. Add in the fact that it’s only $72.60 (down from $242) and this is a must buy. (South Willard)

You just remove the head(cool!) and insert the body into your computer, now you can read or save your data into your soccer players! Available in one of five countries: Italy, Portugal, Germany, The Netherlands, Croatia. Each drive has 1GB(a bit small!) storage for about $30.” (likecool)

Louis Vuitton Man Bags for Autumn 2009

louis vuitton fall 2009 00 Louis Vuitton Man Bags for Autumn 2009

For this Fall, Louis Vuitton adds some details to their men’s bag line. The most prominent is the black leather piping and detailing which accentuate the monogram a bit, and make these bags more than simple clones of their female counterparts. Our favorite of the collection would be the soccer inspired weekender (seen above) with the patch leather work. Almost makes the weekender worthy of a kick around the field.

London’s Folk teams with denim maker, Edwin for a footwear collection ready to enter the market this coming Spring/Summer 2010. Mixing the classic details found in denim with the “strongest elements” from Folk, the Edwin Folk collection “underlines the strength of the brand’s ethos rathe than the alter one another’s aesthetic.” Bringing a new footwear line to market is a tough proposition, but the strength of the two brands should put them well on the road to success.

JC Report | Demeulemeester’s Male Retrospective

ann d retrospective JC Report | Demeulemeesters Male Retrospective

Our friends at JC Report pour Nomenus Quarterly retrospective editorial covering Ann Demeulemeester’s collection going back to ‘96. “The editorial is an ode to the ‘quintessential Ann Demeulemeester man,’ according to Heck. The visually stunning spread reinterprets the survivalist interactions of schoolboys on a deserted island from William Golding’s Lord of the Flies as well as the Catholic priests pervasive in Italian photographer Mario Giacomelli’s work. For the shoot, Heck assembled 12 male models who he thought represented the Demeulemeester male archetype and photographed them playfully frolicking about Morningside Park, New York.”

futurism tatemodern front Futurism at Tate Modern

It has been a century since Marinetti (a not so excellent Italian poet) kick started the Futurist movement with the publication of the Futurist Manifesto. Expressing dynamism and rapid change, Futurism struck a cord with artists coming to terms with new elements of modern life. The Tate Modern celebrates the centenary of Futurism with an exhibition exploring key figures, works, and also the movements that reacted to Futurism.

Read a review of the exhibition from the Telegraph. Visit the show until September 20, 2009.
