Found this one via Nate on the Twitter this humid Saturday afternoon. Available now on Etsy is this recycled bike chain ring clock from pixelthis. “This clock was made using a recycled bicycle chain ring and a new quarts drive movement. It is aluminum and chrome steel and has 2 ring gears. The clock measures approximately 8.5 inches in diameter. It would make a great conversation piece on your wall or great gift for that biker you know who is so hard to shop for. Here is a quick preview of two shoes from the YMC Spring 2010 collection. We get a look at two saddle shoe shoes finished in beige with black or brown uppers. Made in Portugal, we’re told they will retail for 210$US. They should hit stores later in the year. Rizk Auto of Phoenix Arizona takes reproduction automobiles to new heights with their take on the classic 1957 Aston Martin DBR2 Racer. Autoblog has all the details. “The RA DBR2 is built around a state-of-the-art carbon-fiber tub and aluminum honeycomb monocoque chassis that weighs a feather-like 100 kgs (220 lbs), overlaid with carbon-fiber body panels lined with Nomex. Sound space-age enough for a classic roadster? How about some Aerogel, a NASA-developed heat insulator being used in a roadgoing automobile for the first time.”

Kris Van Assche may well be one of those creative footwear designers that sees his looks duped a bit by other players on the market. Van Assche continues to refine his theories on footwear design while keeping the overall aesthetic in line with prior seasons. “Both the high top and low top sneakers in the collection feature an interesting lacing system. In terms of colors they kept it simple, which was a good move. On top of the sneakers, Van Assche also presents some nice suede loafers and lace-ups, along with some interesting high rise technical boots.” (highsnobiety)
