ACL comes through with a exclusive look at the new RRL Bowery Boot. “Through my thorough detective work I got my hands on photos of a limited edition pair of bench-made leather boots. As one would expect from RRL, all of the bona fides are present and accounted for. Made in the USA from Horween leather with vintage deadstock Cat Paw heels. The super small quantity (multiple dozens) will be available mid to late August at RRL stores for $750. Rumor is each shop will get a few pairs and that is it..”

Japan’s Master-piece makes it ways to European shore via Oki-ni. This hold-all is the prize of the bunch with its leather against the yellow canvas base. “Mustard yellow canvas hold-all with chocolate brown canvas and leather trim. This is a really simply constructed bag finished with the highest quality materials for a striking overall look. There’s a zip fastened external pocket on either side and lots of useful pockets inside. The bag’s lined with a bright orange canvas – eye popping.”

Burberry Prorsum Pre Autumn/Winter 2009

burberry prorsum pre fall 2009 00 Burberry Prorsum Pre Autumn/Winter 2009

Helping to bridge the move from Summer to Fall comes the Burberry Prorsum Pre Autumn/Winter 2009 collection. The outerwear is strong as expected from Burberry with trenches in a variety of cuts – from the oversized military look to more drab style finishes. Strong knitwear also works well but I am still hesitant on the velvet. As Christopher Bailey puts it, “The season is about reinvention – redefining and re-modernising the core of what Burberry stands for with our authentic British spirit and point of view.”

Needles Autumn/Winter 2009

needles fall winter 2009 00 Needles Autumn/Winter 2009

Nepenthes previews their Needles Autumn/Winter 2009 collection online. We’re arguing exactly how classic this offering is. Sure we see a mix of tailored jackets and ranger coats but the crushed velvet in the collection seems to set it off on to strange place, but this may well be the reaction they expected. Fur pea coats and goat suede cardigans are also available but when it comes to classic, we tend to pull for the ready to wear driving jackets.

Many more looks from the Needles Autumn/Winter 2009 collection after the jump.

alexander mcqueen spring 2010 trainers Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2010 Trainers

Forgive us, we’ve been teasing you with previews of Alexander McQueen’s SS10 footwear collection for weeks now. This is the penultimate post of the collection, the last of which we’ll be showing tommorow.

Menswear’s all about the details, so it’s worth taking a closer look at the design touches on these trainers. We hate to get all ‘over-excited fashionisto’ on you, but look at that brogue-ing detail on the toe! That’s the first and probably last time you’ll see an exclamation point here, we only save it for special occasions.
