camo spring summer 2010 00 CAMO Spring/Summer 2010 Lookbook

CAMO is a brand we first got in touch with during Bread & Butter Winter 2009. From our first looks at the line, we knew CAMO would quickly move from street fashion to a modern menswear centric audience. The Italian startup continues to get move towards this with their “Horses” collection for Spring/Summer 2010. Dig through the looks and discover a variety of polo, knits, and t-shirts that are fitted against fitted trouser shorts. We are certain there is more to come from CAMO.

After some local legal rambling in Japan, Jil Sander has announced the formal name for their upcoming collection for UNIQLO, +J. The two brands “had to find a creative detour around the fact that fellow Japanese firm Onward Holdings Co. Ltd. owns the designer’s former fashion house and retains commercial rights to her full name.” The +J Collection will show itself at UNIQLO flagship stores and on the label’s online store. No date yet folks. (wwd)

The National Watch & Clock Museum is celebrating the History of the James Bond Timepieces with an exhibit opening next summer. This will be the first comprehensive showing all the timepieces found in the legendary spy film series including the original Rolex Explorer worn by the Bond creator himself,  Ian Fleming.

“This is the first time that Ian Fleming’s watch has been exhibited in the United States. The watch was recently on display at the Imperial War Museum in London, featured in an exhibit on the life and work of Ian Fleming. Fionn Morgan, Ian Fleming’s stepdaughter, states “Ian would have enjoyed the idea of displaying his own Oyster Perpetual as part of an exhibition of James Bond watches…It is wonderful to see the James Bond legacy presented through the watches that this character has worn… Collectors and the public will learn a lot through this exhibition.” (timezone)

Leatherman Damascus Wave Multi-Tool

leatherman damascus wave 00 Leatherman Damascus Wave Multi Tool

Leatherman gets old school with their Damascus Steel “Wave” Multi-tool. How old? Well, old enough to be used back in 1100’s by Middle Eastern swordmakers who argued that their hot forged style of sword making yielded a stronger and sharper tool when compared to those Euro blades. Leatherman pulls this heavy metal into a 1000 unite run of the Wave by making the durable even more rugged. I have to give Leatherman major props for making the Wave look great in photos. (notcot)

gilded age spring 2010 preview 01 Bread & Butter | Gilded Age Spring/Summer 2010 Preview

We’re not done with Bread & Butter previews yet. Gilded Age showed at the most impressive room in the whole show, which had Red Wing, Filson, Nigel Cabourn and G.A all packed into a tight space. It was almost enough to make you forget about the soul-destroyingly huge Ed Hardy stand.

Gilded Age’s SS10 collections looks to be a continuation of what they’ve become known for, featuring acres of check shirts, lightweight knitwear and a hooded top I’d actually consider wearing. Take a look at the collection after the leap.
