Nom De Guerre Coated Canvas Duffel Bag

Nom De Guerre’s AW09 collection has ‘dropped’, as they say, at Oki-Ni. There’s plenty of good pieces but we thought we should bring special attention to this duffel. Duffel bags are starting to feel like heritage brand backstories – everybody’s got one – but the sheer size (it’s huge!) and coated canvas material make it stand out. It’s no good for overseas trips (too big for check-in, not sturdy enough to take a beating in baggage) but it’s great for those extended stays at your girlfriend’s/boyfriend’s house. (Oki-Ni)

Okay, I’m really interested in this bag. I have another NDG bag I carry my laptop in that I love. Need a bag that can fly, etc. Understand this would be too big to carry on, but why would coated canvas not be sturdy enough for long haul flights?
