Jil Sander Suede Derby Shoe

While the actual Jil Sander makes her return to fashion with the highly anticipated +J collection, her namesake label trundles on with pieces like this. We especially like the fact that the heel is just chunky enough to make the shoe substantial, without making the upper look like it’s been attached to a sole two sizes bigger. Like most Sander pieces, this isn’t going to change the world one step at a time, but it’s a handsome (if you can call a shoe handsome) everyday shoe that you can dress up or down. (Browns)

  1. KOROK:

With suede shoes it is all in the roundness of the toe and the thickness of the sole. These score well on both counts, but they still don’t get close to Bottega Veneta’s suede boot this season.
