Following up on their Rolex customizer we covered some time ago, Bamford expands their bespoke range to include the Tag Heuer Monaco. Luxist gets it right. “Now celebrating its fortieth anniversary, the square-cased Monaco is one of the most iconic wristwatches of all time. But while TAG Heuer has released some special anniversary editions in various color combinations, Bamford lets you specify everything, from the dial color and strap stitching to the date window and chronograph indices. The privilege will cost you around £5,000, but there’s no cost for toying around with the online customization interface.”

Putting these out there. Pierre Hardy has a short collection of men’s bags which could very well be worn by your wives and girlfriends if not properly suited. A few options are available in patterned leathers. We’ll let you make the call on them. I’m pulling for the plain black leather tote. Go Euro.

If you’re going to rock Porter goods, go big. Like “Tanker” big. Blackbird has this massive “tanker garmet” bag available now. “Made of an exclusive nylon satin fabric with bright Rescue Orange lining, this garment bag features everything you could need. Double handles, shoulder strap, three massive exterior pockets, heavy duty zippers, zipper cover, metal hanging hook, three interior plastic hangers, and a bonus shoe bag.” Everyone has a Porter laptop or camera bag on a carabiner. Chuckle a little as you’ll have a real monster. My Porter quota is now filled for the month.

Uniforms for the Dedicated is a platform line of sorts. “The label serves as a platform for musicians, illustrators, and designers who continuously are invited to contribute with their innovations. Together with the core group they become a natural part of an expanding network. Similarly 1020 Trickery Lane combines clothing design with music and art.” For their Spring/Summer 2010 collection, they pull inspiration from the idea of “Trickery Lane” – things are not all they seem.

Sticklers for authenticity will love this. Gloverall, a company who’ve been focused on outerwear for ages, are bringing out a few more contemporary versions of their famous duffle coats. We’ve been a little duffle-heavy lately, but what can we say, we like them. That said, we’ve got a horrible feeling that they’ll become this years version of the peacoat – and by that we mean absolutely everyone will hop on the bandwagon a bit too early and we’ll be forced to abandon it. If that happens, we’ll only have ourselves to blame.
Out of the two duffles we’re more partial to the beige-toggled versions, but we wouldn’t blame you if you liked the other version. The cut is a slim one and they’re made in London – which not many companies can claim to do these days. They’ll be available at select retailers next month.

While we do like our high end brands, it’s always nice to have someone mistake your high street buys for more expensive pieces. So when we saw that Uniqlo had dropped some corduroy jeans, we had to get a closer look.
Firstly we should address the ‘no wale’ in the title. A wale is the raised line that run lengthwise down the corduroy. It’s this line that gives corduroy that ‘ribbed’ look that so many intrinsically link to corduroy. Uniqlo have decided to do away with this on these cords, hence the ‘no wale’ in title.
They’re a little lighter than the cords Uniqlo did last year, making them slightly more suited for early autumn wear. Coming in various colours at a grand total of £20, there’s really no reason for not giving at least one pair a go. (Uniqlo)

The Design Museum, in partnership with Conran Octopus, have announced a new book series. These books will focus on a single product, outlining the 50 designs within that “changed the world.” Shoes, dresses, cars, and chairs are included in the initial run.
The books begin releasing in early October.

Growing up, my mother would often exclaim “Some Mother’s Do Have Them,” whenever I pulled some klutz move. The reference to the British sitcom stung, and to this day I shudder after any mistake waiting for her shrill voice to rub it in. Manworksdesign (awful name) seems to have guys like me in mind with the new K-95. Basically, it’s a waterproof USB drive that looks like a submarine. (via DB).

We feature our fair share of bags here, but we’re firm believers in the ‘you can never have enough’ approach to luggage. We know you like to look casual more often than not, but there will be times when you’ll need to fix up and look sharp. This bag is perfect for those occasions, working as a great finishing touch to a smart outfit.
Like the ‘24hr travel bag’ title suggests, it’s meant for short overnight stays and like most Want pieces, it’s for those who can afford a bit of luxury. The price does move it out of some people’s realm, but if you’ve got the extra coins it’s a great piece. (Opening Ceremony)
The drill hasn’t changed, detailed shots after that leap.
