The Lamborghini is already eye-popping enough in normal livery for most folk, so the chromed-out version seems designed to scream ‘Look at me!’ And maybe traffic-choked London is simply the wrong setting for this thing – perhaps it could be quite beautiful out on the Bonneville Salt Flats or something…”

Check this quilted firing jacket from Michael Bastian as part of his Autumn/Winter 2009 collection. The Ace Hotel in NYC knows how to keep its staff proper. Following up further on the uniforms we covered last Friday, we now have a look at the custom 1460 Dr. Martens boot for Ace Hotel employees. The eight eyelet boot has a “subtle” custom leather embossment of a skeleton key on the rise. I should switch jobs.

BBlessing will be dropping two gentleman friendly laptop bags for Autumn/Winter 2009. The slim form leather bags allow for you to drop your laptops into a suede lines interior pocket with just enough room for some paperwork or maybe a map. Compass sent over some looks from the forthcoming John Varvatos footwear collection for Spring/Summer 2010. Joel Esacalona always finds a way to make his imagination run wild while still showing constraint. Whether it is a USB drive or bookcase his design aesthetic is unmistakable. This time around we take a look at his Outdoor Furniture Collection manufactured by Group HeWi. The furniture marries soft synthetic fibers with a rigid metal frame making them resistant to UV, sea salt and pool water while still be comfortable. They can be recycled as well.

Though published in May, Custom Bicycles has just come to our attention. The beautiful book by Christine Elliot covers some of the most innovative contemporary bicycle makers around. Pushed by a desire to innovate, these bespoke builders offer everything from touring bikes to mountain rigs. It is a wonderful survey of a scene that, you’ve probably noticed, is garnering quite a bit of attention these days. Forward provided by Phil Liggett, the popular cycling commentator.

Before you say anything, we know we’re taking our sweet time showing this Limoland Spring/Summer 2010 collection. If you hate anything Limoland do, then you’re out of luck. If you’re the open minded type (and you should be) then at least one of these card holders should be up your alley.

Limoland’s approach can be summed up in three words – they love colour. It’s not a hard formula to break down, respected brand + bright colours = Limoland collab. Thankfully, this style actually suits pieces like these card holders.

We saw Naked and Famous back at BBB and we were impressed with the quality, fit, materials and outlook of the brand. We weren’t so impressed with our picture taking skills, which made the collection look like something H&M would turn away. Thankfully someone who does know how to take a picture has captured their selvage chinos.

If you’re like us, you’re probably looking to give the indigo denim a break. Not give them up forever, mind – just give them a few more days in the wardrobe whilst you explore new colour options. These beige chinos are a nice halfway house between jeans and chinos and the colourway leaves plenty of room for colour experimentation. They’re also vanity sized, so you can feel slim asking for a 32″ waist when you’re really 35″. (Blue in Green)
