Neiman Marcus is the first to get their hands on the “1000 Mile” collection with two models – the Burton and the Montgomery – both part of the Garrison edge of WWI military inspired kickers.

Selectism - Warriors of Radness Autumn 2009

Warriors of Radness steps away form the water a bit while remaining on the sand for their Autumn 2009 collection while sticking around the shores. We got our hands on some styled looks from the line which showcases a strong collection of knit scarves, button-ups, and more. The nautical striped pullover hoodie is a gem.

Selectism - Giuliano Fujiwara Spring/Summer 2010 Trainers

If this were boxing, this post would be the main event. The term blog love was practically invented for Fujiwara’s footwear and, judging from the selection here, the love fest looks set to continue. If you’ve seen the runway shows, then you’ll know what to expect; cut out high tops, oversized straps and copious amounts of suede. We won’t torture you with an overlong blurb – just take that leap for some good shoe porn.

Many more looks at the Giuliano Fujiwara Spring/Summer 2010 Trainers after the jump.

Red’s Classic Barber Shop Company

selectism - Red's Classic Barber Shop Company

Located at 22 East Washington Street, Red’s Classic Barber Shop in Indianapolis has been in operation since February, 2007. The place’s feel, however, evokes an earlier time. Dark woods, dixie jazz, and straight razor shaves are a speciality. Red’s is one of those rare spots where men’s grooming is given correct direction. Stocked with a beautiful array of hats and shaving product, the Barber Shop is a favorite of local politicians (including the State’s Governor) and the odd Colt.

At $19 for a haircut, the Red’s experience is worth twice it’s weight in gold. A special thanks to Mr. William Hogg for shifting his schedule this morning.

Our Legacy Corduroy Blazer

selectism - our-legacy-corduroy-blazer-01

What we’ll be wearing for the upcoming season can be summed up in three words: all corduroy everything. It’s what we’re on, it’s what we’re about, it’s what we wanna get into. The only reason we’re not wearing corduroy this very second is because it’s still 20c outside and we’re not into the sweaty legs look.

Our Legacy’s AW09 is one of our favourite collections out right now. The company’s strongest asset is how well they create incredibly desirable collections, as opposed to one or two desirable pieces. This corduroy blazer is slightly more fitted than their previous efforts, so if it might be time to hit the treadmill if you wanna look good in this. (Tres Bien)

The drill hasn’t changed, detailed shots after the jump.

WJK Kyoto Boots

Selectism - WJK Kyoto Boots

We’re always a little hesitant to put up shoes with leather soles because we know how difficult they can be to wear during adverse weather. Even if you spend the required time scuffing them, wearing during any rain can lead to some pretty authentic James Brown impressions. But we had to put these boots up. They’re made from buttery calf leather (perfect for looking funky fresh) and the toe cap is nice and round (perfect for booting the haters). (Mindtrive)

Take a look at detailed shots after that leap.

Cosmic Wonder Light Source Check Shirt

Selectism - Cosmic Wonder Light Source Check Shirt

We might as well give up the fight – check shirts are here to stay. This is the first season we’ve seen the shirt referred to as a staple, which is short hand for ‘they keep on selling, so we’ll keep on making them’. So we might as well start finding the best ones. This Cosmic Wonder Light Source shirt is just colourful enough for our liking – we’re not planning on running any towns, so the all black everything look isn’t for us. (Mindtrive)

Take a look at the more subdued version after the leap.

04. Know your type: Clarendon

“Named after Oxford’s Clarendon Press, the popular slab-serif was created in 1845 by Robert Besley for the Fann Street Foundry. Notable as one of the last new developments in nineteenth century typography, the letterforms represented a significant change from the slab-serif Antiques and Egyptians that were so popular in that time.” (idsgn)
