It wouldn’t be right to only discuss the merits of American craft sodas (or those bottled in Mexico). Bundaberg of Australia has been handcrafting beverages for 40 years. The operation is family owned, based in Queensland, and is “a refreshing change to the shortcuts of the modern world.”
Their Ginger Beer is a standout (and thankfully available in export markets). For those in Australia, a wider range of Apple and Lemon ales is also available. To be totally honest, it was the shape and pull tab of the bottle that drew me to Bundaberg… not the first time I’ve been swayed by design, but at least a positive example of the happening.
I’ll leave it to Jeff to assess the worth of Bundaberg in a Dark n’ Stormy (I can only imagine its the way to go down under).

Bundaberg Ginger Beer is amazing. If you can find it, its worth a try. I never liked ginger beer until I tried this.
i was just in australia for a few weeks, and had this ginger beer the day i arrived, and continued to find it all over australia. it is quite popular down there, and i loved it. i was so excited to find it at cost plus world market a few days ago. they also have root beer there, and i will definitely be trying that next! do yourself a favor, and pick up a 4 pack of this ginger beer. it is incredible. and yes, they definitely use this stuff in mixed drinks down there. so good!
Bundaberg’s good. Saxby’s is infinitely better. My 2 cents as an Aussie and fully-fledged ginger-beer addict.
