selectism - The Julliard School

Part of the redevelopment of New York’s Lincoln Center, the new building for the Juilliard School makes brilliant use of public spaces. Seats built into stairs, both in and out, highlighted (and only just) but the benches jutting out above. The architects on the project are Diller Scofido + Renfro, who had some practice with public space designing the Highline. All photographs here were taken by Iwan Baas. (via ArchDaily).
