On Monday, December 7, 2009, Christie’s New York hosts its final photography sale of the season. The 190 collected lots include works by Richard Avedon, Ansel Adams, Edward C. Curtis, and Ed Weston. Undoubtedly a highlight, David Bailey’s photograph of Sharon Tate and Roman Polanski is featured above.
The material is open for public view starting today and running through Sunday at Rockefeller Plaza, New York. For those unable to get to the Big Apple, the catalog is available online here.
