Selectism - DIKT

01. Sunday Streets Return to San Francisco!

“San Francisco has just announced that it will be continuing its popular Sunday Streets program next year with new dates and locations for 2010! Running for the past two years, the event closes off a series of roads to vehicular traffic and and opens them to street parties, bike-riding, and uninhibited power-walking. Announced by Mayor Gavin Newsom and the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, the new series of Sunday Streets will expand into new neighborhoods, have longer hours, and will stop traffic on a total of nine days in 2010 as the program settles into a pleasant permanency.” (inhabitant)

02. DIKT (above)

“DIKT is a CD compilation bringing together Swedish and FinlandSwedish poems from the 16 th century to the 20 th century. The CD box was designed by Clara Terne, produced by NU Agency and is published by Weyler Förlag.” (notcot)

03. Devices To Make Hot Drinks To Keep You Up, And Cold Drinks To Knock You Out

“One kitchen appliance that seems to have an undue amount of design attention lavished upon it is the espresso maker, particularly in Europe, signifying the cultural importance of the beverage. Just check out Casino’s industrial-chunky model and Krups’ Dulce Gusto from outer space:” (core77)
