Jews on Vinyl: And You Shall Know Us by the Trail of Our Vinyl

27 January 2010, 17.41 | Posted in Music | No comments »

Jews on Vinyl

Jews on Vinyl, opening February 6, 2010, presents a unique take on identity in American history.

Co-curated by Roger Bennet and Josh Kun (who wrote And You Shall Know Us by the Trail of Our Vinyl: The Jewish Past as Told by the Records we have Loved and Lost) the exhibition exposes Jewish American life through images and sounds of American popular culture. The duo are also behind the blog trailofourvinyl.com and operate a non-profit record label dedicated to releasing forgot gems of Jewish popular music.

Jews on Vinyl will run through late Spring at the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco.

More Jews on Vinyl after the jump.
