Selectism - Eastman Leather for Heritage Research Aviator Pack

Steve Canyon would proud of this pack. Heritage Research worked with Eastman Leather Clothing on this WWII inspired “aviator pack” which consists of A-2 flying jacket, an Aviators Kit Bag and USAAF aircrew gloves; all of which are made in England. “The Aviators Kit Bag is made from 100% cotton OD canvas, this is an exact copy of the original WWII USAAF aviators kit bag, It is fastened by way of two sprung chevron Crown zippers, that meet at the top, with a further closure flap with press-studs. The A-10 glove was issued to all USAAF aircrew and is made from a supple Goatskin leather and lined with a fine wool knit.” And finally, the  A-2 jacket is an exact of the original made from beautiful vegetable tanned American Steerhide.”

Many more looks from the Eastman Leather for Heritage Research Aviator Pack after the click.

  1. Jonathan:

this is awesome, but it would be about 10,000 times MORE awesome if they would just get rid of the damn patch!

i admire the whole repo/heritage (lowercase) approach to this sort of project, but there are some of us out there that don’t want to appropriate so brazenly that we’d include patches on our jackets. those should be specific to actual pilots/missions/etc (in my mind).

i am, of course, ok with wearing an A2 despite having no military experience, though. so i’ll admit my feelings here are a little inconsistent.
