Travelteq Trash Laptop Bags

Selectism - Travelteq Trash Laptop Bags

Amsterdam’s Travelteq delivers their latest laptop bag offering – Trash. “The Trash has many compartments, but all for a specific need. Any annoyance, any thing you may miss has been taken care of with the Trash. Think of a shock resistant laptop compartment. Compartments for your: cigar, business cards, phone, sunglasses, plain tickets and more. Basically all the “trash” you need to bring on your short trips. My favorite is the outside pocket to hold your plane ticket, phone or sunglasses so you can grab them at any time while traveling. This all fits in the stylish, Italian leather design of the Trash. All the bags are hand made in Italy. The bag is useful for everyday work or short business trips. At the moment the Trash comes in 4 different color combinations. More colors and designs will follow.”

Ale8one Soft Drink

22 January 2010, 18.37 | Posted in Craft Soda | No comments »

selectism - Ale8one

Kentucky’s second best drink, and the only one appropriate for teetotalers, is “A Late One.” Ale8one has been bottled in Winchester, Kentucky since 1926. Inspired by the ginger driven beverages of Northern Europe, Ale8one was developed by G.L. Wainscott and remains a “closely guarded family secret.”

Along with the original, the company also offers a diet version and a complete line of other foodstuffs – bbq sauce, suckers, etc.

Should you wish to visit the factory, they will happily swing you through at 10:50am on Fridays given some advanced notice.

Yves Saint Laurent for Atelier NYC

Selectism - YSL for Atelier

HINT reports in on a forthcoming capsule collection from YSL for Atelier NYC. “Yes, you read that right. Yves Saint Laurent’s Stefano Pilati has collaborated with Atelier New York on a capsule men’s collection for spring. We’re told the 17 pieces, produced entirely in Italy, retain all the luxury you’d expect from YSL, but injected with the gothy goodness that is the Atelier aesthetic. The star of the collection is a “very” limited-edition bag, only six of which have been made. It doesn’t much more exclusive than this.”

Selectism - Adam Kimmel Autumn/Winter 2010

Inspired by the paintings of George Condo, Adam Kimmel rolls out his Autumn/Winter 2010 presentation in slightly “freakish”manner. In Mr Kimmel’s own words on Condo, “I was always fascinated by George’s style and my intuitions about him being as multi-faceted as the intense figures who inhabit his paintings were all confirmed as our friendship and collaborations developed.” Kimmel’s “Casino” collection give a glimpse into this world.

selectism - Wolverine 1000 Mile Addison Boot

The second generation of Wolverine’s 1000 Mile Boot adds a lovely brogue detail. Formally named the Addison Boot, all the same hallmarks of quality (Goodyear welt and Horween leather) remain. Much like the original it is also “The Shoe that wears, and wears, and wears!”

The boot is a autumn 2010 release.

Evidence of the Addison Boots historical lineage after the jump.

Journal Standard Chinos

selectism - journal-standard-chinos

Here’s another piece you’ll have to travel through shark-infested to get your hands on (or pay a proxy). Journal Standard have released an updated version of a chino we featured aaages ago, but the reasons we like it are still the same: that gingham lining. We’re bamboozled as to why more companies aren’t doing this, what with rolling your trousers being hot stuff and all that. Sure, there’s a couple out there, but not enough. Anyhoo, these are purdy, come in three colourways (green’s our favourite) and only available to those with the patience of a saint and the email address of a proxy. (Style Cruise)
