Selectism - Faber-Castell Multiplication Table Pencil

01. Hufft Project’s Beautiful Butterfly House

“Inhabitat readers huffprojects recently wrote in to tell us about this green office complex they designed for their clients R. B. Murray and Co. Here at Inhabitat we have been referring to this beautiful building as the Butterfly House because it features a distinguished butterfly roof that opens to allow a maximum amount of daylight into the building’s open offices, executive core, and conference rooms. This roof has greatly reduced the need for artificial lighting during the day. As for the other green aspects of this project they intend to use natural, recycled and reclaimed materials, and the building’s design features natural ventilation, air filtration, and abundant views of the landscape. Such features have the added benefit of improving the quality of the work environment and employee productivity.” (inhabitant)

02. Faber-Castell Multiplication Table Pencil (above)

“For sale via an eBay seller in Cyprus (I’ve corresponded with others who’ve purchased the same pencil set), it seems to have taken an interesting path before arriving at my door.” (penciltalk)

03. Mash Creative Calendar

“East London / Essex based design studio Mash Creative designed an A1 calendar poster in a limited edition of 100. Okay … we kicked-off 2010 already almost 2.5 months ago, but it is never too late to put a nice calendar on your wall.” (minimalissimo)

04. Modern Handmade Deckchairs from Gallant and Jones

Gallant & Jones of Vancouver make their beautifully simple deck chairs from black walnut and 100% acrylic fabric for years of use at the beach, park, or concert. Two models, one with pillow and removable fabric.” (mcmodernist)
