Wings & Horns had a barnstormer of a autumn/winter collection – to paraphrase Mike Tyson, the blog love was impetuous, the styling impregnable and the clothes just ferocious. Their SS10 collection hasn’t had that effect on folks, but there’s still more than a few great pieces to get your hands on. Take this parka for instance, while folks are getting bored of chambray shirts – or to be more accurate, getting bored of blogs hyping chambray shirts – a chambray parka is still interesting enough to get the nod of approval. Are you guys nuts? That thing is hideous.
I wouldn’t go so far as to call it hideous but I think there’s far too much going on on the front of it, I think they’ve gone too far with the detailing. Matching instead of contrast buttons would have help greatly (in my opinion of course).
Like the idea of a chambray parka though, is that thing coated on the outside to repel water? It looks like the inner is.
Well it says waterproof on Context, so I would assume so.
I really don’t think there’s that much going on in this coat, they maybe could have done without the two breast pockets, but everything else is fine. The lower pocket buttons also add to the busy effect, but other than that this coat looks fine.
I am LOVING this jacket! It’s definitely NOT hideous.
This jacket is ridiculously wonderful….
Nice jacket, I think the pockets are fine, they should have stuck one on the back (shoulder blade area) like the old Woolrich 60/40’s for good measure.
I’ll tell you what is hideous Shane; those scruffy Levis posted a few pages on.
