Much like the plumber’s rule, this new Hermès travel belt folds in like a stack of cards. In some ways, this new form is very convenient. Not only do the pivot points stand out for their function, but they add a touch of shine to an “ordinary” leather Hermès piece. Look for it in July for around 580€.

Yes you’re right, they got it backwards. It will catch on every belt loop.
When i’m travelling, I never had a problem rolling up my belt. But I know that’s not the reason someone would contemptuously toss a few hundred euros down for something like this.
With that design it will always be backwards in one direction. They did it right because you want it to slip out when you’re taking it off not putting it on.

Extremely useful … for girls – spotting rich men with nothing else to spend their money than a novelty belt; for men – spotting stupid fashion victims and avoid at all costs.
