The sheer amount of interesting product coming down the pipe from the Rapha brand is unacceptable. There is simply too much to cover. While it may seem like a single editor’s selection with Rapha, the push for their goods to get shine on these pages comes from various ends of the Titel family – we have writers falling in love with something new almost daily.
Here’s a quick one in the form of a cycling cap as made for the BESPOKE exhibition in NYC recently. “Celebrating the exhibition BESPOKE: The Handbuilt Bicycle opening in New York City on May 13, this limited edition Rapha Cap features a Brushed Camel textile from Maharam, the New York-based innovators of textiles.” 75 total caps produced. Get on it.

It is not often I get to see Empire of the Sun, a band which I bet the house on in 2008, in the windows of Selfridges. From the looks of this article in Dazed, this would look to be true for a few as part of Selfridge’s Music for May campaign (which looks to be coming to a close). “As part of their Music in May season, Selfridges have invited ten music artists to takeover their window displays for their ‘Sounds of The Mind’ project where the Oxford Street store will be overrun with artwork inspired by a song, each by the musicians. The XX… alongside the like of Empire of the Sun, Marina & The Diamonds, Paloma Faith, Charlotte Gainsbourg, The Drums, Florence, Hot Chip and Dizzee Rascal all applying their creatiive juices to design their own windows.”
A fine pair of suede loafers from Paraboot for Japan’s SHIP chain. The tassels are the distinct feature on these shoes which also include a white nonslip sole and white detailed stitching that finish these shoes off in a very classic sense. They’re very to the point and look great. Zozo via proxy outside of Japan, please.

For the equestrians in the house. This Hermès “Talaris” Saddle is an innovative move forward in this space. The team in charge of the Talaris spent three years developing a saddle that looks as normal as the rest. But the truth is on the inside. As you can see in our gallery, the Talaris is a highly structured saddle that improves on the fit and ride as never before. It weighs in at around 1.5 kilos lighter than traditional saddles by replacing metal and wood with carbon and titanium to make it lighter and more durable. As well, the Talaris can be adjusted to fit any rider and horse.

Tomorrow in New York Sonic Youth, Lou Reed, the Virgins, Now We Are Here, and Jihae are coming together with legendary avant garde film-maker and and author Kenneth Anger for a special show to honour his work at the Anthology Film Archives. As you probably know, as well as writing the infamous Hollywood Babylon books (proto-gossip rags exposing the golden age of Hollywood), Anger has been making short films since 1937, and has been influential, in one way or another, to everything short and moving that you can think of.
Tomorrow, he will performing as Technicolour Skull, with his long term collaborator Brian Butler. They made this special preview film just for us, featuring exclusive archive footage. (lovemag)
A very high end gift set from TAG Heuer in celebration of their 150th anniversary. “Crafted by bespoke French artisan and designer Fred Pinel, this multi-function watch box is a reinterpretation of the 1930s steamer trunk on the outside and the secret drawers of a Louis XVI armoire on the inside. The premium watch box, hand crafted in black and orange leather with accented stitching, houses a watch winder for the Grand Carrera Calibre 17 RS2 Chronograph, and a mini USB connect for charging…” Where as Perpetuelle perfers the full package showing the set, I prefer the TAG Heuer Grand Carrera Calibre 17 RS2 Chronograph solo. You can see the full gift set in our gallery.

One of twelve manufacturers celebrated at Valencian Design, Live It!during NY Design Week, Koo International specializes in upholstered furniture.
The company was founded in 1998 by Antonio Munez and located in Silla, Valencia. Their desire is simple – to produce products of high design and quality at competitive prices. Since launch, Koo International has grown to become one of Spain’s largest upholstered furniture maker. Their factory produces around 100 sofas a day, as much as 20% with custom specs.
While geared towards the European and North African markets at the moment, Koo International’s presence at Valencian Design, Live It! provides an opportunity for American buyers to become familiar with their wares.

Our Legacy have given us a few looks from their upcoming AW10 collection and it’d be rude of us to keep them to ourselves. As you’d expect, it’s not for those who want the wheel reinvented every six months; Our Legacy specialise in refining basics as opposed to creating three legged trousers. The updates this season include a handsome looking navy double breasted blazer (previously only available in black), overcoats galore and some heavy duty bags.
We’re taking our sweet time showing off this Best of British collection and here’s another choice pick. Grenson teaming up with British Millerain is a weird collaboration as British Millerain are a factory as opposed to a designer, but the end result is a handsome one nonetheless. The black and blue combo makes it a little awkward to wear with denim, so we’d team this with some good ol’ chinos. (ASOS)

Dana Lee’s been all over the blogs lately but here’s a piece of hers you can actually buy. We’d never considered chambray jeans before this summer but, like a grower of an album, the more we think about it the better it sounds. Add in the straight leg fit and contrasting lap seams and you’ve got a great pair of jeans at a (relatively) affordable price of $230. Summer – real summer, not this tease we have right now – can’t come soon enough. (Opening Ceremony)
