Primary Information is reprinting the full 13 issue run of Avalanche Magazine. “Avalanche focused on art from the perspective of artists rather than critics… Willoughby Sharp and Liza Béar founded Avalanche shortly after they met in 1968. At the time, Sharp was a New York-based independent curator and Béar an underground magazine editor who had recently moved to New York from London. Designed by Peter May, the Lines Sideboard is one of several pieces being issued in limited special editions by Ligne Roset in celebration of the company’s 150th anniversary.

With two options for the base – black or chromed metal legs – the sideboard consists of two drawers and a top flap. The simple rectangular form is broken by a series of intersecting lines separating the tricolor lacquered portions. May’s sideboard is released in an edition of 150, each individually numbered, and features the “Ligne Roset ans 150″ logo.

The firm will also release other notable designs in limited 150 editions over the course of the celebration.
