Selectism - Billy Reid "Tennessee Love" T-Shirt for Nashville Flood Relief

Tennessee’s own Billy Reid is doing his part to help the victims of the Nashville floods with this benefit t-shirt which pushes 100% of the proceeds back into his city. “If you love the Grand Ole Opry, Whiskey, Honky Tonks, Down Home Cooking, The Batman Building, & Bluegrass then grab up one of these tees. Net Proceeds from the sale of this tee go directly to flood relief in Tennessee.” The t-shirt is a bit hidden under the Men’s “New Arrivals” link.

Selectism - Lanvin Embroidered Cufflinks

We covered the embroidered Lanvin pins recently but LOVE comes through with some looks at the embroidered cufflinks which complement the set. Little elephants, when properly matched with a white shirt, will work wonders. Now, the question is whether your son is old enough to accessorized in Lanvin. I say yes.

Chairs by Fjordfiesta

selectism - Chairs by Fjordfiesta

Behind a humorous name, there sometimes lies elegant design.

Fjordfiesta, a Norwiegan company located in the small town of Molde, stands true to the above notion. Their chairs fuse a continental cool with Scandinavian simplicity. The seats, produced of a bent laminate, work terrifically on a variety of bases. Seen above, the stacking chair was designed in 1957 by Hans Battrud and reclaimed when Fjordfiesta was born in 2001. The shallow s-curve of the seat back is quite glorious

A lounge and a swivel chair don’t mess too much with the winning formula. These can be found after the jump.

Selectism - Poketo Up-cycled Suit Tote Bags

Founded in 2003 by Ted Vadakan and graphic designer Angie Myung, Poketo fires up their up-cycling spirit for a collection of totes procured from men’s suits. “The two styles displayed here are Joe (in brown) and Nathan (in black). Made from second hand clothes, each Suit tote is one of a kind ─ mixture of wool suiting material and cotton shirt, even throwing in some silk occasionally; the handles are made from old leather sofa. Pockets are handy and made in just the right size to fit in iPad and such like.” (ts)

Joe McCoys 12oz Sweatpants

selectism - Joe McCoys 12oz Sweatpants

Our search for the perfect sweatpants continues… the latest stop coming via Super Denim. Joe McCoys, who specialize (like many Japanese brands) in exacting replicas of American classics produce a fine 12oz loop wheeled model. Three color choices are on offer – black, burgundy and gray. Inspiration for the collegiate style logo undoubtedly comes from Greenbrier Military Academy, an all-boys preparatory school in West Virginia.

While these sweat pants might not be appropriate attire at the nearby Greenbrier Hotel, they certainly match the luxury resort for quality.

Detailed images and color choices of the Joy McCoys sweatpants after the jump.

Highly recommended for anyone interested in fashion remixing. “Copyright law’s grip on film, music and software barely touches the fashion industry … and fashion benefits in both innovation and sales, says Johanna Blakley. At TEDxUSC 2010, she talks about what all creative industries can learn from fashion’s free culture.” Comment away on this one. (via TED Talks)

G.H. Bass Suede Oxfords

Selectism - gh-bass-black-suede-oxford-01

Despite our expensive tastes, we’ll always love an affordable pair of well made shoes (and so will our bank balances). There’s no shortage of stores making poorly made versions of popular shoe styles *cough*TopmanforOliverSpencer*cough*, but it’s always worth searching out a realer deal – and G.H. Bass are realer than real deal Holyfield. Black suede isn’t the most popular summer shoe, but it’ll look good on a spring day. (Studio Homme)

Perks & Mini Black Embroidered Chinos

Selectism - perks-and-mini-embroidered-chinos

We’re still on the fence with embroidered chinos. We don’t hate them, but they can look overly gimmicky at times. But, having said that, there are some pairs we make an exception for – like these PAM chinos. They’re subtle and have enough of a (gawd, even we hate saying this phrase now) twist to make them worth purchasing. (Someday)

Tricker’s for Nitty Gritty Suede Brogues

Selectism - trickers-nitty-gritty-suede-brogues-01

Yep, we’ve not got our fill of suede brogues yet. Tricker’s aren’t known for their elegance – the country collection is their strong point – but this pair are an exception to the rule. A traditional English brogue, this is as summery as a leather soled brogue can get. And, to get all Patrick Bateman about the details, the white eyelets are a great finishing touch. (Nitty Gritty)

Drool over these a little more after the leap.
