Ralph Lauren gets into the World Cup frame of mind with a massive collection of national team polo shirts from their “Modern Field” Collection. Just about every nation is covered with this one (except North Korean which would be killer): Spain, Italy, Argentina, Germany, Brazil, South Africa, Japan, France, England, Netherlands, Russia, USA, Australia, Mexico, Scotland, AND Switzerland (shout out to Geneva). They’re mesh polos.
And for those looking for some custom steez, “On RalphLauren.com, there will also be a “Create Your Own” option where customers may elect to embroider a name on the back of a polo (limited countries available)”

That’s only half the teams in the 2010 World Cup field. The African in me is a bit peeved that they only included South Africa, given the continent the World Cup is playing on. I supposecatering to your market (with Ralph Lauren’s presence primarily in North America and Europe), but I wonder why they couldn’t manage to at least add Cote d’Ivoire, given the name recognition of Didier Drogba.
these polos actually look pretty freaking sweet
I hear you on that. In fact, it gets me even more upset when they forget the likes of DPRK as well. I just had a conversation with a brand who showed me 8 shirts as part of their WC collection – everyone was missing including Portugal. The Portuguese in me is more than peeved.
