Sotheby's Contemporary Design Sale at Sudley Castle

Through August 1, 2010, Sotheby’s employs the gorgeous grounds of Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire to present an exceptional range of contemporary design.

The Sotheby’s selling exhibition, arranged in association with Carpenters Workshop Gallery, will showcase a series of one-off and limited edition pieces by leading contemporary artists and designers including Marc Quinn, Lionel Scoccimaro, Pablo Reinoso, Marcel Wanders, Jurgen Bey, Wendell Castle, Robert Stadler, Vincent Dubourg and Ingrid Donat, as well as the design ateliers Studio Job, Demakersvan and
Atelier Van Lieshout.

It isn’t the first time a sale has been conducted at a Sudeley, but does inaugurate a collaborate effort between the home and the venerable auction house. Wallpaper* has offered a full preview. Here we share some of our favorites items from the exhibition and sale – including the work of Wendell Castle, above.
