American heritage flagships stores continue to sprinkle across the European terrain. The lastest is word that Minnesota’s own, Red Wing Shoes, is opening doors in Amsterdan, Netherlands as a shared initiative with local, Tenue de Nîmes. “The collection of the store will consist of a wide assortment of Red Wing shoes, complemented by shoe maintenance items, belts, gloves and other accessories. The brands that represent this part of the collection include American Optical, Duluth Pack, Heritage Leather Company, Royal Republiq, Tanner Goods and The Hill-Side.”

We asked for some more looks from Umit Benan’s Spring 2011 collection and we received them. The Turkish born designer seems to be hitting closer to home with his Spring presentation. As Dazed puts it, “Comfy chocolate brown double-breasted jackets and collarless shirts in deep hues of navy were just a few of the highlights. The salvar baggy trouser is, admittedly, an acquired taste but they fitted of course in with the Turkish theme. Loose and comfortable, but with elements of elegance, Umit Benan have adjusted a national sartorial heritage to the rest of the world.”

New York’s leaders in cycle geared garments, Outlier, has a few new items kicking for the heat of summer.

Their ultralight pants weight pants utilize a complex blend of nylons that forms a yarn-dyed double woven fabric. A shade lighter, even, than the Summer Shorts, the pants retain the hard wearing and rugged characteristics Outlier trousers are known for… just now refined for the balmiest of days.

The shorts are similarly constructed and equipped with a drawstring. The guys suggest they are for lazy triatheltes – bike to the beach, lug a cooler to the shoreline, and have a swim. Quick drying, and fitted with mesh pockets, the Summer Shorts are

While Ferragamo is best suited to those who like of walk around the house in paisley robes and loafers (word to Ghostface), they’ve got a couple of other pieces on their roster worth a purchase. Well, we say a purchase but at over £3000, we highly doubt there are many folks who can even think of purchasing this. But, just in case you can, do you mind letting us hold ten? We always feel like we’re pushing pleats down your throat but you know what? eff it. Just be thankful we’re not on (and never will be on) jeggings. These Commonwealth Utilities trousers come in at ankle-shimming length, making them well suited for the folks looking to get their Pitti-inspired style on. And they’re on sale but they’re from Matches, so don’t  go expecting H&M prices. (Matches)

We’re a little bit in love with Kris Van Assche’s – or just K as we call him – bags for spring. This leather rucksack would be great for those days when you want to lug a ton of stuff (and nearly a ton of money to spare). It’s also got a top handle so you can carry it around like a tote, although why anyone would want to carry a bag this big as a tote is beyond us. (Farfetch)
