Straight out of Spain, Steve Mono develops bags for the gents; some of which are clearly unisex in nature. “Shapes, materials, finishings,… are inspired by classic, easy and cool pieces I´ve seen many times in vintage photos, books or movies; that kind of briefcases and wallets that men used to take to their works in offices buildings, and also reminding that school boy-man look…Bags, briefcases, wallets, umbrellas, belts,… thinking of that kind of men wearing always suit, jackets and tie, with their polished shoes and those bags and briefcases in their hands, where they take all they need for the day.” A few of our favorites shown above, but are many more to explore.

In addition to striped tees, we’ve also been on the lookout for braided belts. Aside from the obvious candidates (Anderson’s and the like) this belt by Lucien Pellat-Finet also fits the bill. It’s a little wider than usual, but there’s nothing wrong with a little fat on your belt. The price tag could do with some slimming though. (Studio Homme)

Here’s another sale pick. These MHL shorts have gone on sale at South Willard (now $138, previously $230) and they’re yet another relative bargain. Bargains aside, these are the sort of shorts that are worth spending a little money on, even if your summer is only three weeks long. You won’t regret it a few years down the line, when your H&M shorts have long since disintegrated. (South Willard)

Duffer’s take on the classic plimsoll has been available in Japan for years. Big surprise there, right? Now, they’ve made it available for the European and North American market with four color schemes ranging from simple to slightly off-kilter. Black and white are obvious, while the gray/sky blue and gray with green hit versions are touch more eye catching.

All are produced with canvas upper and rubber sole. After all, they are plimsolls. Nothing ground breaking, just another Summer option.

We’ll spare you the boring ‘basics are king’ spiel, but we have been on the lookout for a good, well-made crew neck striped tee lately. This Sunspel tee fits the bill as it’s well made, affordable – depending on your mental price limit for a t-shirt – and, to top it all off, locally produced. But most of all, it looks good and you’ll look good wearing it. (Sunspel)
