The excellent notcot site points us at a a bicycle helmet inspired by old French Army Helmets, which is wrapped in cork. Designer, Kévin Goupil, lays the cork over the helmet form and is sure to include proper foam padding on the inside to make it (we assume) “street legal.” I will note that the cork material may absorb shock when struck, but like all helmets, they are “one use only” once crashed. Beautiful.

Cork won’t slide on the ground or will disintegrate on impact. There’s a reason a hard/smooth shell is used on the outside of helmets. I’d be surprised if this passed Snell or CSPC standards.
I’d rather be alive, than look good dying.
The cork is clearly not there for protection. You can see the molded shell within the helmet that is.
