Common Projects Red Suede Toe Cap

Selectism - common-projects-red-toecap-01

We just noticed we’ve been on a trainer recommendation trip here at SL. Don’t get us wrong, we love our shoes, but we don’t wanna rock shoes every day. Whenever we put up a CP piece, we always feel the need to discuss the cost (or at least the recent rise in cost). There’s always room for suede footwear in our lives (be it shoes or trainers) so this was always gonna be a firm favourite. At this rate we’ll be buying as much suede protector as Kim Jong Il buys hennessey. (Oki-Ni)

    looks very good!

  2. These look like red velvet cake, beautiful.

  3. Thom:

I’m sure they’re well made and all that, but Common Projects are way overpriced and always remind me of those sensible ‘Dad-trainers’ you get in places like Jones the Bootmaker…

Seriously, what is up with the price hike? They are almost as expensive as Lanvins now. I love my CP’s, but the quality and comfort is nowhere near Lanvin’s. Sure, they don’t have that perfectly minimalist aesthetic, but if I’m going to spend that kind of money, I gotta go with the Lanvins.
