Our bros. at HS get a full look at the forthcoming A.P.C., Carhartt collaborative capsule collection. From the looks of the capsule collection, the reference pieces are pulled more from the Carhartt line which is fine by us. “The Capsule Collection consists of a denim shirt, jeans, a jacket, as well as t-shirts and striped beanies.” And who’s the model? The collection drops in stores October 2010.

This collection will be available in North America as well.

Based in Oakland, the firm pairs earthy materials with clean lines (and occasionally metals) to produce objects that are at once contemporary and warm. 02. How Much Jazz Is Too Much Jazz?

“The other night, I used my iTunes album tabulator to figure out how many jazz albums I had ripped to my hard drive over the years. The answer was an astonishing 276, many of which I’ve never given more than a cursory listen to. I was a bit surprised by the number. I knew I had accumulated a significant amount of jazz over the years (being forced to fill over two-to-three hours of jazz radio programming a week for five years will do that) but I had at least figured on having given most of it an ample listen. Unfortunately, that has not been the case. At least 100+ albums were probably ripped, enjoyed briefly while filling airtime, and then either forgotten or subsumed by other aural desires. 04. Bread Baking: Chicago-Style Hot Dog Buns

“When I moved away from Chicago, I thought that the lack of poppy seed hot dog buns in my new hometown was something I could remedy by looking harder when shopping.
