The good folks at Bed Stu make a strong statement with their  ”Gulf Coast Cleanup” collection of footwear. The looks speak for the themselves. The focus is on cleaning up the mess left in Gulf of Mexico from this year’s spill. With that focus in mind, Bed Stu will donate 100% of the profits from the sale of the “Gulf Coast Cleanup” collection to restore wildlife in the Gulf. The collection will hit stores around November 2010.

Woolrich reps were rocking this flat cap with an extended brim. The kicker being the baseball brim holding down the bill. While I may not be able to work with the extended bill, most of you will – golfers and non players. Should be available for Spring 2011 if not sooner.

Spring Court’s Spring 2011 line is an abundance of new takes on their very classic French tennis line. For starters is this friendly Hawaii inspired take. The outer is a pleasant “palm tree” pattern that stands out amongst the crowd of trainers for next Spring. Will it work for all? We’re willing to bet it will.

While we have mentioned the Schwood line of handmade frames before, we finally get a chance to take a hold of them for ourselves here in Las Vegas. The model above is a new collaborative effort with Atlanta’s WISH shop. They are coated with a thin layer of shellac. If you prefer a more natural finish, you have options.

From Canadian brand Wings + Horns we present you an interesting piece out of their Autumn/Winter 2010 Collection. They enhanced the classic peacoat a bit and were inspired by another classic – the varsity jacket. This new peacoat comes with a wool body and leather sleeves. Furthermore the jacket features leather details on the pockets. The coat is now up for pre-order from Roden Gray.

From the Fall/Winter 2010 Trussardi 1911 collection we have come across an interesting fusion leather show. The Italian brand has added plaid wool fabric to an otherwise classic Brogue leather shoe with wingtip accents. The brown leather version of the shoe is now available from colette.

Continuing with our unnatural obsession with details, here’s a piece we’re picking solely because of the colour of the toggles. We’re accustomed to seeing beige toggles on navy duffels, so it’s a nice departure to see some burgundy ones. And that’s the entire reason we like this piece. We don’t know why it’s happening – it be the rucksack overload lately – but we’re coming around to the charms of the satchel. This vintage one by Yuketen isn’t cheap (£495), but it is a gorgeous bag. And don’t let the word vintage put you off – there’s more than enough compartments, flaps and daps for the most new-school of users. (Oi Polloi)
