Judging from what we’ve seen (and what we recommend) this autumn is gonna be all about the defining touches. While everyone did the plain jane jumper last year, the trendsetter brands are now adding unique touches, making sure you have a reason to pay your rent late again. We don’t usually feature much video game related items, but this magazine was too interesting to pass up. Created as a thesis project by Cory Schmitz, EXP. magazine is a one-off magazine aiming to bring some class to video games magazines. Far more Apartamento than Official PS3 magazine in appearance, we were attracted to the magazine because, well, it’s just very good looking. EXP. is a near one man job, with Schmitz creating unique art works for the magazine, as well as creating the layout, art direction and branding. While EXP. isn’t going to be put into production he’s created a similar magazine (entitled ‘The Controller’) which he hopes to release soon. (Cargo Collective)

While this is clearly not a IWC Big Pilot watch, the Prometheus Recon 5 is beautiful enough for it to warrant mention. “The Swiss Made Prometheus Watch Company Ocean Diver collection is the result of a design competition at Watchuseek Watch Forum and was designed by Brian F. Here is a bit of a preview of what Wallpaper* and Laser Sailboats has in store for Salon del Mobile in Milan later this year. The commissioned Marian Bantjes to work over this Laser sailboat in a “dazzle camo” print. As Bantje’s describes it, “I avoided the obvious of working with organic forms to go with the wind, water, etc., and instead work deliberately against those forms. I wanted to make something that was incredibly distinctive in the water, and which would disguise its speed and versatility.” (core77)

The enviro friendly Veha lines delivers a new accessories collection under the name “Projet Numero Deux.” We featured a few of these looks from Berlin this summer. Today, some more looks at the collection. “The Projet Numero Deux line features quality crafted, soft leather bags, canvas day-bags and lightweight backpacks in neutral colour ways.” They’re hand made in Brazil from vegetable tanned leather and canvas. Oki-ni gets an exclusive on the Mochila Back Pack (available Sept 1).
