Via Snella Spring 2011 Collection

Selectism - Via Snella Spring 2011 Collection

Via Snella showcases their looks for Spring 2011 with the help of one famous artist. “Swedish artist Jonas Löfgre lent a hand toward this project, with this season’s venture drawing inspiration from the idiosyncratic ambience and style of Löfgren’s illustrations and paintings. Re-working this into a menswear collection, Jonas created patterns exclusively for Via Snella, in which Lina has adapted onto fabric.” (189)

around the web Selectism | Around the Web

It’s Friday, and we are in a football mood…

01. Diego Maradona’s Porsche for sale – for £320,000

“A cheeky car salesman is cashing in on Diego Maradona’s name by selling the football legend’s old Porsche – for a staggering £320,000.” (SWNS).

02. Arsenal property deals send profits to record high

“Arsenal Football Club has announced record pre-tax profits of £56m. The Premier League club also said it had paid off all debt on its Highbury Square property development of flats, built on the ground of its old stadium.” (BBC).

03. French club Levallois SC to name stadium after Didier Drogba

“Chelsea striker Didier Drogba will have the honour of seeing a stadium named after him in France, according RMC.” (Goal).

04. Hip new WAG-related language revealed in newspaper (above).

“Of course, there are few things more cringe-worthy than a bunch of crusty old squares telling you how the kids speak these days – with their far out ecstacy parties etc… – but that hasn’t stopped the throbbing brains at The Sun from including a glossary of undercover WAG talk with this article about a former “WAGABEE”.” (The Spoiler).

Clean. On point. Gives Noth Face Purple a run for it’s money. Old school outdoor done right, but why do we always have to thank the Japanese licenses to do it right. Bring it on back. “This purple colourway is the origin of the tear drop style pack and has all the original features including: #10 YKK zippers on main the compartment, zippered front slash pocket, reinforced nylon bottom with liner, figure 8 attachments for one added-capacity pocket, ice axe/hiking pole holder, brown leather zip pulls.” Oki-ni has them.

Rittenhouse Raglan Sweatshirt

Selectism - Rittenhouse Raglan Crewneck Sweatshirt

Some gents work in their full rig. I work in denim, tshirts, and crews when needed. Today is a t-shirt day but the season is changing. Comfort comes in the simple things and this raglan sweatshirt from Rittenhouse is an example of one of them. The fabric is revered on the front so you get that “over” soft effect. It works. Goodhood has them.

Foxon Park Beverages

selectism - Foxton Park Beverages

Recently, my diet has hit rock bottom. Sixteen cheeseburgers a week low.

On the plus side, gluttony leads to discovery. Foxon Park, established in 1922 and located in East Haven, CT, makes all the flavors required for any ice cream soda imaginable. They use real sugar, which in their estimation has helped them stand the test of time. Being the regular drinks pairing with some of the United States’ best pizza doesn’t hurt matters either.

Order from Foxon Park.
