02. NaNoWriMo 2010 Gear: Paper

Nonnative Dweller Sneakers

The details speak for themselves on these Nonnative “Dweller” sneakers which work off the classic basketball high-top. The biggest talking point? They’re waterproof! Gore-Tex lines the leather. The outer is monkey-suede cowskin. Japan made. RG has them.

Plastikman “Arkives” Boxsets

Plastikman "Arkives" Boxset

That’s right: boxsets. Plastikman (otherwise known as Richie Hawtin to many) has been in the electronic music industry for decades now. Jumping from industrial to techno in one quick motion, the Plastikman legacy, which includes more than six studio albums, is being collected into one of the biggest (and slightly confusing) boxset collections we have seen. Four options exist for the collection: Reference, Digital, Analog, and Komplete. At the high end, you receive eery studio record remastered, including numerous CDs with exclusive and unreleased tracks as well as heavyweight 180g vinyl versions of the studio albums, and a DVD. As you scale down, discs and music are removed. The hardcore will want the Reference or Komplete. Oh, and he’s calling it Arkives.
