Furniture buffs should head over to the MET for the magnificent new exhibition, The Artistic Furniture of Charles Rohlfs. Based in Buffalo, New York, Rohlfs drew inspiration from both the Art Nouveau and the Arts & Crafts movement. His designs, and particularly his carved furniture, generated high praise for his workshop from across the globe.

The Artistic Furniture of Charles Rohlfs runs to January 23, 2011.

Curated toured the exhibition prior to opening. A full run of images here.
