Highsnob reports in with a quick look some accessories from the Rick Owens Autumn 2010 collection. “Rick Owens presents some nice new leather accessories from his Fall/Winter 2010 Collection. Made from Juchten leather, which has a history of use in Russian military footwear, these Mont Blanc boots from Seil Marschall hit a traditional mountaineering aesthetic. They are handsewn and given a black artic sole for contrast with the brown leather. An exclusive to No. 6.

Books and coffee are old bedfellows. As such, we have all experienced a coffee shop-cum-bookshop, or vice versa.

For the interior of the D’espresso Cafe on New York’s Madison Avenue, Nema Workshop utilized sepia-toned custom photo tiles. Then, they flipped the faux library on its head – turning it upside down and sideways. The resulting interior is surrounded by books, paying tribute to both the nearby Bryant Park Library and the undeniable connection between a good book and a good cup of Joe.

Braided belts are one of those items that should’ve jumped the style shark by now but haven’t. Why? Mainly because men (even stylish ones) tend to neglect their waist area. Regents belt company, who you’ve heard of through their R6 collection, have these braided belts in at CHCM. They’re a nice change for anyone who likes that braided feel but doesn’t want to go all multicoloured. (CHCM)

Like our friend Jose Hustle, we’ve been liking Kolor. The phrase ‘casual tailoring’ entered the realms of cliche yonks ago but they do excel at it, as this blazer demonstrates. We could prattle on about the specifics but basically we like this because of the natty random buttons. And because it’s from a Japanese store and, therefore, cool. (Museum Arks)

Here’s a race car inspired watch from the Tag Heuer family, first seen a while back. The Tag Heuer Monaco Twenty Four Calibre 36 Chronograph is a square face gem. ”The dial’s vertical blue and orange stripes echo the Gulf livery on the legendary Porsche 917K Steve McQueen drove in the movie “Le Mans”. The oversized number 24 at 12 o’clock pays tribute to the most famous endurance race in the world. Even the cover over the unique oscillating mass of the movement resembles a steering wheel.”(wh)

The 10 year anniversary of Radiohead’s “Kid A” fell this past Saturday, October 2nd. For fans like myself, this record was life changing in all sorts of ways. I first heard the record on a heavy head of dstar as it passed through a boombox in my home office. I should have first played it on headphones, but god will forgive me. The 33 1/3 book series from Continuum hits this monumental record next. It will break down and examine each and every track form the “Kid A” LP as well as the recording session through a collection of interviews and insight from those on the scene. I, for one, am very excited. Excepts at 33third. Available November 25th.
