Selectism - Black Nøise White Rain By Chrønicles Øf Never Shoes

I’m feeling all Sunn O))) after checking that title. Bascially some black shoes with some extra special flair. They’re handmade and “finished” in Australia – far from the doom of the West Coast. “Black leather slip on shoe with pieced vamp and elasticated side gusset for ease of entry. leather lined and leather sole. 1/2″ heel.” Oak has them.

Draplin Design Company “Hair Organizer”

Selectism - Draplin Design Company “Hair Organizer”

Speaking of combs, we’re reminded that the good people of the Draplin Design Co. put their stamp on the barbershop staple recently as well. In classic DDC style, their “Hair Organizer” sports such features as being “easy to use,” and “one size fits all.” Half the fun of products from the DDC is reading their descriptions, so we’ll let them explain:

Simple design, with one half of the comb’s bristles dedicated to “getting things into order” and the other half, slightly tighter in formation, dedicated to “fine tuning” that mess up above.

Good for back pockets, travel cases or the glove box of yer car minutes before that next big job interview.

Available here, direct from the DDC factory floor. (bc)

There’s always room for a fairisle knit in our lives, so putting this up should come as no surprise. With just about everyone latching onto this ‘made in (insert worthy country here)’ trend, here’s a piece that’ll give you the mental superiority – some might say smugness – of knowing that your piece has been made in said worthy country (Scotland, in this instance). And it looks nice, which always helps. [Tres Bien]

02. Connecticut Whale Logo Could Be Unifying Force (Above)

“While the Wolf Pack skated against the Albany Devils in their first exhibition game Wednesday night, the fusion of Hartford’s fractured hockey community was on display in the lobby at Trinity’s Koeppel Community Sports Center. Many fans wore various versions of Wolf Pack jerseys. Others donned Whalers shirts, including one with John Cullen’s No. 11. And a few fans were spotted in crisp white T-shirts with a brand new logo on the front. The Connecticut Whale were branded with a new insignia before the game — a grimacing blue whale diving through a green C while clutching a hockey stick.” (Hartford Courant).

Alexander Olch Notebooks

Better known for his neckties and bow ties, New York designer and film maker Alexander Olch presents a range of notebooks. We came across them this week, while cruising through Parisian store colette. The beautiful materials that are otherwise found on his ties are in this case wrapping different size notebooks. We love them!
