BLACK FLEECE BY Brooks Brothers Fragrances

We first looked at the fragrance offering from Black Fleece last September. Today, we get some more information on the Japan launch of this fragrance from the high-end side of the Brooks Brother’s business. Now, we should note that they’re looking more and more like women’s fragrances but seeing as most guys want to keep their femmes in the fold of goodness, they should consider picking these up once they land outside those Japan shores. Ruben Toledo 100 Postcards for Louis Vuitton City Guide

Next to their new 2011 City Guide, Louis Vuitton presents the 100 Postcards Box Set by Ruben Toledo.

“This new 2011 edition is entirely remelted and updated and visits in only one volume 30 new destinations, stopping over for the first time in more unexpected cities like Beirut, Courchevel, Gstaad, Oxford, Palma de Marjorque, Oporto Cervo or Thessalonique. Paris, London, New York, Tokyo and Berlin have a clean volume where confirmed adresses and places mix with innovations. And for our greater pleasure the illustrations of Ruben Toledo since the first guide in 1998 are joined together in a set of postcards, quite simply splendid.”

Look out for a release of the box set in October 2010.

A look inside follows after the jump.

Le Corbusier Furnishings Revived by Cassina

selectism - Le Corbusier Furnishings Revived by Cassina

Those with a love of mid-century modernist will certainly celebrate Cassina’s revival of Le Corbusier furnishings. Wallpaper* reports, “Modernist master Le Corbusier had strict design principles, which he applied just as rigorously to furniture design as to his more widely known architectural projects. For him, ‘the smallest pencil stroke had to have a point, to fulfil a need, or respond to a gesture or posture’, recalled Charlotte Perriand, his long-time furniture collaborator. This ruthless purity of approach paid off, making his designs as relevant today as they were over half a century ago – so much so that Cassina has just revived four of his remarkable pieces for its ongoing ‘Cassina I Maestri’ collection, started by the great man himself in 1964.”

The collection includes boxes, tables, and writing desks of utmost simplicity.

A look at Cassina’s relaunched Le Corbusier collection after the jump.

Eider Armscor Jacket

Eider Armscor Jacket

Swiss company, Eider Clothing has been producing garments since 1962. With roots in tailoring and pattern work, Eider “combines passion for mountain sports, historical textile expertise, permanent research for innovation and unique, and contemporary style.” The “Armscor Jacket” comes with the “Defender” technology that makes the jacket “100% waterproof, 100% Windbreaker and 100% breathable.” This fabric has about 20 years under its belt and is tested for all foul weather conditions seasonally. The coolest part about the jacket is that it has a cap style brim on the hood, which allows for rain-water to just bead off. The waterproof zippers and 2-layer membrane fabric make this a great piece. Its available at Backcountry. (gb)
