Selectism - pendleton-lounge-robe-01

Lounging is our second favourite pastime (just behind blogging – but that’s serious business for us) so this robe was always gonna be a favourite. There’s not much we can say about it – it’s a robe, it’s made using Pendleton fabric and it’s a sure entry for a Fyeahmenswear post  – what else could you want? (Blackbird)

Selectism - henrik-vibskov-heftig-cardigan-01

It’s turning all wintry round here, so it’s time to get some heft. While eating yourself until you gain Butterbean like insulation sounds fun (at first) we’d prefer a good chunky knit. This one from Henrik Vibskov should do the trick. Wear it with other clothes for a great look. (V Store)

Nook sofa 01 curatedmag Nook Sofa from Jardan

Family owned and operated, Melbourne-based Jardan have released their new Nook collection. Simple, functional furnishings designed by Nick Garnham and Rod Carlson, the series of sofas highlight Jardan’s use of solid timber and their excellence in upholstery. The restrained nature of the set allows the consumer opportunity to discover details and make the Nook their own “quiet space.” Further more, Jardan’s commitment to sustainability remains central to their design ethos – the brand has had a Good Environmental Choice Label since 2006.

selectism - Cooper-Hewitt Kiosk at Grand Central Station

Commuters looking for a high design gift this holiday season will look no further than the Cooper-Hewitt’s Kiosk at New York’s Grand Central Station. Located in the Station’s Graybar Passage, the Kiosk “will offer a selection of 25 design works from the museum’s renowned shop, including decorative objects, jewelry, toys and office accessories, and will be outfitted with USM Modular Furniture’s Haller system in orange, a color available for the first time in three decades. Cooper-  Hewitt chose the USM Haller system—a 1963 design classic, which is created from a few basic  elements that can be expanded or reconfigured as needed—to outfit its museum shop and now the kiosk.” Open for business through January 3, 2010.

Selectism - belstaff-aviator-parka-01

We feel like we’re drowning you with waxed parkas sometimes; but they keep on looking good, so we’ll keep on posting them. This one is a Belstaff version (or joint, if there was a clothing line designed by Spike Lee) and it looks pretty damn good. (Oi Polloi)
