Swanndri Waxed Cotton Jacket

“In 1913 Tarnaki tailor William Broome developed a work shirt with a secret waterproofing. The workshirt, made from one hundred percent pure New Zealand wool was fabled for its durability and practicality and quickly became the choice of pioneering New Zealanders.” The Swanndri brand continues this legendary style of clothing with a modern twist. The jacket comes with a 100% waxed-cotton exterior, snap front and cuffs and  hand-warmer pockets with drain holes.  Drainholes should be on all jackets and coats. It’s available at Orvis.

The Generic Man 4 Year Shoe and Wine

Four years on and The Generic Man continues to produce fine footwear that stays in your wardrobe for seasons. Today, they announce the launch of a fine shoe and wine celebrating the past four years. With the help of Saarloos and Sons Vineyard in Los Olivios, CA, Generic Man has packaged together a wine and shoe set that is fairly limited – especially to the public. 40 pairs of shoes are being produced across their Naval and Chapman models. Both come in wine burgundy leather.

“For the wine, eleven cases of a well blended red, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot were then produced for the project.”

Only 12 of these anniversary packages will be available to the public. They are for purchase for $425 through Mohawk General Store.

Selectism - seven-days-front-01-selectism

So we’re back again and, to paraphrase the black Frank White, things done changed. We’ve teamed up with the man from the Blue Hour and used people this time round. And, while things have changed on that front, we’re still just showing how we’d wear things. We’ll leave the styling to the specialists – we’re just some folks who love a bit of Craig David.

Go check out the feature here.

Cosmic Wonder Light Source Shawl Collar Jumper

Selectism - cosmic-wonder-shawl-collar-jumper-01

At this point, we’re wondering if we’ll ever tire of shawl collars (short answer: no). This one’s from Cosmic Wonder Light Source and, shawl collar aside, what really attracted us was the pattern. It’s a hit or miss thing but it really works on the beige version of this (not so much on the red). Get your proxy on at Mindtrive.

Selectism - iko-table-01-curatedmag

Curated turns us onto another piece from Jardan:

“New from Jardan, the Iko Table finds designer Nick Garnham playing with ideas of “tropical luxury.” For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, the table set brings a little Australian Summer to our increasingly cold winter. The solid wood legs compliment patterned marble tops – which come in a variety of types and sizes. As always, Jardan is dedicated to sustainable material and ecological design.”

Mister Freedom Midnight Chiller Vest

Selectism - mister-freedom-vest-01

It’s getting really cold out in these parts which means it’s time to get serious about this wrapping up warm business. A vest like this is always a good addition to your arsenal and it’d look good underneath a big jacket and on top of a (relatively) thin knit. (Superdenim)

Song remains the same, take a leap to see those shots.
