Hella Jongerius’s 300 Vases Work

Gorgeous pottery work from Hella Jongerius. “Dutch designer Hella Jongerius worked with one of the oldest factories in the Netherlands Royal Tichelaar Makkum to create a special collection of 300 unique vases. I love how these turned out and how the gradient colors are carefully placed in a circle, making it a giant color wheel art piece. Watch video below of the making process.” (trendland)

Song for the Mute Autumn/Winter 2011 (Southern Hemisphere)

Australia’s Song for the Mute are three seasons into something young for the market. ”Song for the Mute originated from the desire to innovate menswear and construct a new 21st century silhouette with non ordinary fabrics. Both founders Melvin Tanaya and Lyna Ty are well regarded designers in their own rights; Lyna graduated from the Accademia Italiana di Moda in Florence in 2006 and Melvin from the Billy Blue School of Graphic Arts. The structure of their pieces communicates Song for the Mute’s narrative and soul as well as the joy of creative culmination.”

The History of The World's Fastest Vehicles Print

This print by Stefan Marjoram is simply amazing for anyone who loves speed and motor vehicles. A straight history lesson in graphic form. Here’s what Marjoram says on the print: “I’m very interested in the history of the Land Speed Record and with the print I wanted to highlight how the size and shape of the cars has changed over the years and so they are as close to the correct size in relation to each other as I could get them.”

selectism - M Coffee in Tehran, Iran

Handled by Hooman Balazadeh, the new M Coffee located in the Velenjak Shopping Center, Tehran, presents a soothing respite for weary consumers. Arch Daily writes, “The spatial concept was to present a significant solid mass that connects the entrance of the hall to the serving counter and also illustrates the roof and the walls as a continuous element. This solid mass provides the essential light of the area indirectly and eliminates any sharp and disturbing type of light. The form was generated through morphing two curves over each other that creates variety of different perspective views and diverse experiences in each spot.”

If only as much care was given to the spaces containing our local hyped up beans.

More images follow.
