Pun(c)tuation by Tarboo Hunting Shirts

selectism - Pun(c)tuation by Tarboo Hunting Shirts

Pun(c)tuation, a cross between clothing store and art gallery in Seattle, WA, is responsible for these intriguing Hunting Shirts. Part of the Pun(c)tuation by Tarboo line, the Hunting shirts are made from locally sourced cotton, felt, and wool. With elbow and shoulder patch, the shirts have a distinct look. Produced in Historic Pioneer Square, they also have a Made in the USA pedigree.

All clothing in the Pun(c)tuation collection is hand-sewn in Seattle, using time-honored standards and industrial grade machines. The line is the result of an organic collaboration between the creative director of Pun(c)tuation, Maikoiyo Alley-Barnes, and Tarboo, Inc. founder Matt Noren, a local tailor and artisan who learned to sew in New York’s historic Garment District.

A closer look at Pun(c)tuation by Tarboo Hunting Shirts after the jump.

Normann ‘Norm 69′ Lamp

Selectism - normann-norm-69-lampIn need of a (relatively) inexpensive lamp for Christmas for a design obsessed friend/partner? Here’s one that should be up your alley. Just make sure it’s not hanging too low, it looks sharp enough to cause accidents. (Normann)

Robert Geller for Common Projects Coat

No, we don’t know what’s with this model’s face in this picture either. That aside, this collab sees Common Projects first steps into outerwear and we’re liking the results. From the pictures it looks rather slim, so you might have to size up if you love your chunky knitwear. (Forward)

Head Porter Plus ‘Nel’ Shirt

Selectism - head-porter-plus-shirt-01

We’re always in the market for a soft, green shirt, mainly because they’re pretty hard to find. And because we’re very odd when it comes to stuff we want. We don’t have much to say about this piece really; it’s green, it looks nice and will match with everything in a standardly stylish wardrobe. What more could you ask for? (apart from a lower price). Drakes Fisherman Knit Jumper

Selectism - drakes-fisherman-sweater-01

Yeah, that’s right, jumper not sweater – we’re not the linguistical sellouts that drakes are. For a company that prides itself on British manufacturing they’re decidedly less proud of our tradition of calling things by their proper name. Rant aside, this is a nice jumper and, at £150, fairly affordable. Honestly, it’s a little too good to give as a gift, get it for yourself. (Drakes)

01. Manchester City will force Carlos Tevez to stay at club

“Manchester City will not sell want-away striker Carlos Tevez in January, BBC Sport understands.” (BBC).

02. A Dixieland Santa Claus: Louisiana Christmas Music

“Christmas music fans keep to themselves. They’re out there, wondering if they’re weird for listening to it all year around, while those who don’t like it grouse openly and loudly, particularly when radio stations start playing it before Thanksgiving (as if it’ll make the turkey feel unloved). But Christmas is a subject for songs, just like love and money, and it’s inspired some brilliant and laughable recordings. Here are some of the finest to come out of Louisiana.” (Off Beat).

03. Taschen by Shigeru Ban (Above)

“The design of the Taschen stand by Ban is based on the hexagonal motif that highlights the roof of the Centre Pompidou-Metz. At the 2010 Frankfurter Buchmesse, German publisher Taschen and Shigeru Ban presented Shigeru Ban: Complete Works 1985-2010, a volume with Ban’s most recent iconic project on the cover: the Centre Pompidou-Metz in France.” (Frame).

04. New York’s 51 best cups of coffee

“”Dozens of ways to get your fix.” (Time Out NY).

Duece for CDC Backgammon Table

Thomas Erber continues with his Cabinet of Curiosities this time in the form of a backgammon table. The elevated game table is not frame locked as with ordinary fold and store boards. The playing pieces tuck in nicely underneath. Colette has them.

Allen Edmond’s Bayfield Boot

“Established in 1922, Allen Edmonds is a company rich in heritage.” The Bayfiield boot gained popularity by making its debut on the movie, Titanic. The boot “was first developed to be worn by all of the first class passengers,” in the movie. The bulcher boot offers: seven-eyelets, cap toe and mini-lug rubber sole. The boot comes in black calf and “brown chromexcel leather” and is made in the U.S.A. This might just be the boot that takes over the “indy boots”, it shall be known as the “Titanic boots”. Get it at AllenEdmonds.
