“Envisioned by Chairman and Co-CEO Gary Friedman, who was particularly fascinated by designs from the “Golden Age”, the new range of Aviation inspired furniture from Restoration Hardware reinterprets the sleeks lines of these built-for-speed designs in the modern setting.
The pieces – many of which are hand-crafted – are made with Antiqued Whiskey Leather and a mix of stainless steel and aluminum. The Atlantic Coupe Leather Chair, for was inspired by the 1938 Bugatti Atlantic Coupe, an iconic and very rare automobile. Also, the Spitfire Chair ) is modeled after the cupped seats and padded arms of sleek WWII fighter planes.”
