Mission Workshop has been expanding on their full apparel collection. They’ve expanded on numerous shoe styles as well as developing a new base layer for the popular “Orion Waterproof Shell.” The “Bosun Merino Wool Jacket” is made of New Zealand merino wool and offers an external mobile phone pocket, touring-style zippers, internal ipod pocket and tweave reinforced shoulders and elbows. The jacket has entire bottom ¾ of the jacket in the merino wool fabric for added mobility. The perfect cyclist base layer that can also double as a lightweight jacket for the Spring. I’m showing these because I love them. The Diemme company for years sold fairly average hiking and mountaineering boots. With the rise in street fashion they clearly saw a market was available to them. With Autumn 2011, they’re bringing some new sneakers but the real gems are these wingtip mountaineering hikers – available in multiple colors. Dope. Seen at (capsule) Paris.

It seem like all forms of outdoorsmen bags have gotten the once over but John Chapman looks to have discovered a few untouched items. Their Falconer bag takes the traditional two-sided bird trainers bag and customizes it to house an iPad and more. The strap can be centered for easy spin on the hip bag.  Or double on the ends and wear it as a traditional “mapper.”. It’s available in tan and parajumper green. Seen at (capsule) Paris.

While scanning the Gitman Vintage racks today at (capsule) Paris, we were shown this “eskimo” patterned print which never actually came from their mainline archives. Rather, the pattern a special order from “some” retailer – which retailer is a mystery even to Gitman. If you happen to know who sold this pattern back in the day, we would love to know.

Rocky Mountain Featherbed continues to offer some outstanding, Japanese produced outerwear based on the classic outdoor life of Northwest America. Technical nylon with leather shoulder appliqués work well. The striped vest above is an interesting standout in this space as well. Seen at (capsule) Paris.

Urban Outfitters has the US exclusive on the classic 60/40 Short Parka by legendary outwear company Sierra Designs. Four colors – brown, orange, green, blue – all with contrast tan lining. For the reissue, UO has had the jacket cut in a shorter, slimmer pattern, but all the hallmarks of the original remain in tact. Get it here.

Located in Clausen, Luxembourg (i.e. the old quarter of Luxembourg City), Skype Corporate Headquarters is part of larger refurbishment of one of the areas existing brewery buildings. Designers WAM were charged with creating a dynamic interior to inspire innovation, but also retain some degree of corporate sophistication. Given the difficult of such a task, Skypes new offices seemed worth posting – we’re interested in knowing if our readers think the space succeeds. (via ArchDaily).

We’re having a very crewnecked morning here at SL. This time it’s this Ralph jumper. Brown’s often seen as man’s descent into a dull wardrobe, but a couple of pieces here and there won’t hurt. Burkman Brothers developed their own “trees” camo for Autumn 2011. They deploy it on a couple of garments including this “street” friendly hooded sweatshirt finished in a quilted pattern.
