With spring just around the corner, many brands are using very similar fabrics for the season. Take the “Wide-Collar Cardigan” by A.P.C. for example. They’ve taken all the great details of the sweater and made it theirs by offering “piped pockets, a ribbed neckline, pockets, hem and cuffs.” The cardigan comes in a fabric they call “Ecru Chine,” which would layer well with lots of different summer t-shirts, oxford shirts and trousers. Balmain delivers their Ranger boot in some new leather. While usually done in patent leather, this is the first time the Ranger is offered in calfskin. Still some good shine on that leather, especially on the laces. Balmain remains one of the strongest menswear collections out there. Riccardi has them.

East End Brewing of Pittsburgh, PA released the 2010 version of its famed Gratitude Barley Wine earlier this week. It is “a limited edition Barleywine Style Ale, brewed in November in the American tradition and hand packaged to specially commemorate the yearly anniversary of the brewery. Returning every year in bottle conditioned form, and an occasional keg.”

First things first, this is a Levi’s Lefty by Takahiro Kuraishi western polkadot shirt, but we didn’t want to blow up our headline section. Heck, you try saying the proper name of the shirt to your friends. Overlong name aside, we like the club collar and, of course, the polka dots. We’re simple like that. (Oki-Ni)

We’ve still got a soft spot for leather jackets, despite our continued neglect of them. It’s just that finding a good one can often cost as much as a good suit. This one is no different, costing $2,613. Yep, we didn’t mess up on the commas there. But if you can get over that (admittedly massive) hurdle, it does look gosh darn good. (Blue in Green)
