Individualism puts together their second clip as part of their tongue-in-cheek  ”Sins of Style” series.

Ksubi looks back into their own history for inspiration found in the 1101 collection for Autumn 2011. Rather than falling into the trends found on USA shores, they continue to do their own shit – and doing it well. Here’s what they say: “Experimenting with differing tactile and visual elements, the idea of ‘merging’ by focusing on internal detailing from reversed fabrics to external seams and layering…The colour palette for the season draws from the elements. From ash to slate, smoke to jet, a sombre yet sophisticated palette is then lifted through moss, khaki and deep plum. Red is rusted and bloody in ‘beware, wear’ complimented by soft sand and fresh neutrals.”

In concert with its current exhibition, Jasper, Texas: The Community Photographs of Alonzo Jordan, the International Center of Photography has released a comprehensive catalog of the former barber’s work. Contextual essays come from Alan B. Govenar, a superb folklorist with focus on Texas and its musical traditions. The photographs capture small town Jasper and its cultural and social milieu at mid-century. As such, the work becomes a telling document of the life lived by James Byrd, whose racially charged 1998 murder thrust Jasper into the National spotlight.

The exceptional acceptance of the woodsman into more and more collection shows that we may have come to the top. What happens next – we hope – can only be a response to it. While the streets of Paris may not relay the heritage movement as strongly as say NYC or London, it is clear that the mixture remains. Burberry Prorsum for Autumn 2011 continues mixing the fashion with the heritage inspired pieces. It is probably not fair to use term but it is clear that inspiration and re-creation of the classic is happening here.

Paz again. She’s just incredible. Tough to not put her up when she is wearing a pair of Illesteva’s Spring 2011 sunglasses. Not much more to say expect that they’re unisex so you’re girl or boy will be sharing pairs with you. The collection is drastic at times but we’re sure you’ll find something in there for you.

With a title like “Brokeback Mountain” for their Autumn/Winter 2011 collection, Kitsune may be playing fun on the exhausting workwear movement with a collection that actually offers impressive takes on the style. Do not fear though, the Kitsune collection does offer modern garments that fall slightly outside of this fold (as shown in the images above). Well done from the Parisan fashion/music powerhouse.

Geary’s is becoming the new trendy beer for hipsters obsessed with Maine and seafaring. But guess what, it’s been the tits for ages and the London Porter is one of the best American examples of the style you’ll ever have. #Believe.

This time around they’re using an ash colored waxed Cotton as well as Horween leathers – some of the best in the world as you know. The classic brief shown above is well constructed.
