I think even CNET picked up the 2011 collection from Warby Parker. They deserve the press. Anyone who gives back a pair of eyeglasses for every pair purchased deserves serious love. Their 2011 collection features 14 new styles – including the Thatcher which I would very much like in a matte clear (please!) –  in various colors. Their try-at-home program is excellent as well. Daiki Suzuki’s final collection for Woolrich Woolen Mills celebrates “a bygone era in outdoor clothing when simplicity reigned king.” Many of his inspirations lie in the fashions and styles of outdoor brands from the 1950s-1980s. The jacket is made in the U.S.A. from a cotton/poly mix. The jacket offers: inner faced pocket flaps in cotton twill with button look closure, cotton pull cords, covered button center front placket and a game pocket on the back panel. Wear the Pants means different things to different people. For those at the 2011 OnPoint Community Credit Union Bend WinterFest, the largest winter festival in the Northweast, it meant a group of gentlemen starting their chainsaws and carving some ice.

One of the keynote events at last weekend’s Winterfest, the Dockers Ice Carving contest provided heated competition and a thrilling display of artistry. James Royal took first place, transforming two blokes of ice into a magnificent Merman. With a regal lion, James Waldron was hot on Royal’s tail, proving that even detail oriented battles can hold a little heat.
